POSITION SUMMARY
Provide leadership within the Corporate Accounting Department to ensure accurate, timely financial reporting and compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and regulatory accounting requirements.

RESPONSIBILITIES
Review accounting procedures and systems and recommend appropriate changes. Implement and coordinate changes with other affected departments; monitor practices for compliance with approved procedures.
Support business/department managers regarding the accounting implications associated with financial analyses and decision-making activities.
Actively participate in M&A activities including performing due diligence, system conversions, and other tasks that might lead to the successful completion of an acquisition.
Work collaboratively with business partners to foster cooperation that will enhance profitability and customer service.
Oversee and/or assist, as applicable, with examinations/audits conducted by regulatory agencies.
Hire, supervise, evaluate, mentor and develop Corporate Accounting staff.
Maintain effective internal controls over financial reporting.
Contribute to the overall safety and soundness of the Bank.
MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS
B.A. or B.S. in Business Administration required, preferably within accounting or finance discipline.
Active CPA license required.
Ten (10) years of increasingly responsible accounting and supervisory experience within the financial services industry.
Thorough knowledge of bank operations, regulatory requirements, GAAP, internal controls and experience in consolidated financial reporting; strong background in all areas of accounting, including general ledger and monthly financial close.
Excellent leadership skills, including the ability to envision, articulate and manage change and the ability and desire to work with persons of diverse perspectives.
Ability to accept and facilitate change, whether indicated by corporate needs, market or regulatory requirements.
Ability to work as part of a team, as well as independently, and with people of diverse backgrounds.

The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
