Provides Front Office administrative support for a large, busy mental health center. This includes answering multiline phones, checking in clients, scheduling clinical and medication appointments, and assisting clients and other visitors as needed. Also performs other administrative tasks on occasion such as entering data, calling clients to confirm appointments, photocopying, typing documents, and special projects.
This position requires excellent skills in multi-tasking, communication, customer service, computer data entry, and organization. Must be able to communicate very effectively on the phone and in person. Must be able to handle difficult customers and situations diplomatically and problem solve collaboratively. Must maintain high level of client and staff confidentiality.
Requires well-developed front office customer-service skills, and the ability to communicate effectively and diplomatically, even with others' emotions are intense. Requires the ability to make good use of time, prioritizing customer-service needs, and multi-tasking effectively. Must be able to operate standard office software programs, with a keyboarding speed of 45 wpm. Must be able to perform simple mathematics to collect copayments, provide change, manage cash box, and calculate simple percentages. Must have intermediate computer user skills and problem solving skills.
AA degree or business school equivalent, and two years relevant experience. Or high school diploma/GED and four years relevant experience. Prefer experience providing front office administrative support in medical office setting. Prefer experience working with mentally ill clients.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
