Job Description:
The actual duty location for this position is NAS Everett, WA.
Assist soldiers and government civilians transitioning from the federal government to civilian endeavors.
Provide information about benefits and entitlements.
Conduct large group instruction and individual counseling on the job search process including but not limited to networking, interviewing, writing effective resumes and cover letters, and negotiating salary and benefit packages.
Assess the transitioners' personality and interests in translating their military experience and skills into qualifications wanted by private sector employers.
Counsel transitioner to identify and evaluate various opportunities.
Required Skills and
Experience:
Bachelor''s Degree or equivalent and 0 - 2 years' of experience in the field or in a related area.
Individual must be familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field.
Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
Works under general supervision or independently and typically reports to a supervisor or manager.
A certain degree of creativity and latitude is required.
Work is generally performed in a normal office environment where there is minimal exposure to unpleasant and/or hazardous working conditions.
Work may also be performed in a vehicle or temporary office.
Able to travel up to three weeks at a time.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
